Hatch’d
Hatch’d is our absolute favorite breakfast and brunch spot. Pancakes and hash browns are gluten-safe, with a dedicated GF prep flow and a separate griddle. The menu is clearly labeled—though the newer version can feel a little limiting at first glance. In practice, almost the entire menu can be made gluten-free with a few easy adjustments.
Josh, the owner, is exceptional: welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in doing gluten-free right. Jason always feels comfortable eating here. I’ll say it plainly—I prefer their gluten-free pancakes over the regular ones.
The Hot in Herr is my go-to hangover brunch, and it pairs just as well with a beer as it does with a mug of coffee (or both). Hash browns are exactly what you want them to be—crispy, generous, and worth ordering every time. Breakfast cocktails, rotating specials, and bar seating round it out.
Inside, the walls are lined with coffee mugs—and yes, you can buy any of them for $5.
One note: this place is popular for a reason. Get in line on Yelp, or expect a long wait—an hour or more isn’t unusual.
